The book guides the reader through the history of the National Technical Museum from its beginnings to the present day. The first part is focused on the museum as an institution, while the second part deals with the construction of the museum building in the Prague-Letná district. The authors used rich resources of the National Technical Museum Archive and National Technical Museum Architecture Archive. Interesting information were also found in the Archive of the National Agricultural Museum.
